​Mon voyage touche à sa fin après 10 mois sur la route à parcourir le Pérou, l'Equateur, la Colombie, Le Brésil, l'Argentine, la Bolivie, les Etats-Unis et le Canada. Je suis maintenant de retour à Londres et à Paris.

Je voudrais remercier tous mes amis et ma famille qui m'ont soutenus dans mon projet, j'espère revoir très vite tous les nouveaux amis que j'ai rencontrés sur la route, et je voudrais saluer la bonté et la générosité des locaux, car contrairement à ceux que beaucoup pensent, le monde est rempli de gens incroyables et profondément gentils.

Merci également à tout ceux qui m'ont suivis sur mon blog, Facebook ou Instagram !

A très bientôt peut-être pour la suite des aventures .... ;)

My journey is now ending after 10 months on the road accross Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia, USA and Canada. I'm now back in London and in Paris.

I would like to thank all my friends and family who supported my project, I hope to see again very soon all the new friends that I met during the trip and I would like to pay tribute to the kindness and generosity of the local people, because contrary to the fear of a lot people, the world is filled with incredible and truly good people.

Le petit bouquet final de mon voyage : les retrouvailles à Montréal avec certains de mes meilleurs amis Français qui maintenant vivent à l'autre bout du monde : Hassan de Montréal, Sabrina de Londres, Charlie de Singapour et Julia & Laurent de Montréal. 

Des belles journées à faire la fête, célébrer les anniversaires d'Hassan et de Julia, rigoler et rattraper le temps perdu ! Des années que je ne les avais pas revus !

Et puis j'en ai aussi profité pour me faire mon premier tatouage ! Un magnifique nuage magique coloré pour symboliser mon voyage ! ;) 

Je suis sur la route depuis presque 10 mois à travers 8 pays de l’Amérique du Sud et du Nord...et mon voyage se finit maintenant à Montréal !

The grand finale of my journey : the reunion in Montreal with some of my best French friends who now lives around the world : Hassan in Montreal, Sabrina in London, Charlie in Singapore and Julia & Laurent in Montreal.

Awesome days to party, to celebrate the birthdays of Hassan and Julia, to laugh and to catch up on our lives ! I have not seen them for years !

And I also crossed the line and got my first tattoo ! A magnificient colorful magic cloud to symbolise my travel ! ;) 

I've been almost 10 months on the road through 8 countries accross South and North America... and my journey is ending now in Montreal !

Après 8 heures de bus depuis Montréal, on y est enfin ! Neeeew Yoooooork ! Dès la 1ère heure dans la ville, on se sent comme dans les films. On ouvre grands nos yeux, admiratifs devant l'architecture et l'atmosphère qui y règnent. On n'est jamais venu mais on a l'impression de déjà connaitre.

Je passe 7 jours ici en compagnie de mon meilleur pote Charlie, venu tout droit de Singapour. Après quelques jours passés à Montréal avec nos amis (prochain article), on dévore en bus et à pieds les rues interminables de Manhattan, on grimpe au 86ème étage de l'Empire State Building pour admirer le coucher du soleil, on s'habitue au labyrinthe du métro New Yorkais, on dort dans le quartier tranquille de Brooklyn, on mange tout ce qui n'est pas sain pour la santé, on revoit quelques amis qui vivent ici, on parcourt l'immense Central Park, on prend (presque) le train depuis la Grand Central Terminal, on assiste à une comédie musicale à Broadway, bref on joue les touristes de base, et ça nous plait bien !

After 8 hours of bus from Montreal, we are finally here ! Neeeeeeew Yooooooork ! From the 1st hour in the city, we feel like in the movies. We open big our eyes, admiring the architecture and feeling the atmosphere ! We have never been here but it seem that we already know it !

I spend 7 days here with my best friend Charlie, who came from Singapore. After few days in Montreal with our friends (next article), we are strolling on bus and on feet the never-ending streets of Manhattan, we climb to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building to admire the sunset, we get used to the maze of the subway, we sleep in the quiet area of Brooklyn, we eat only unhealthy food, we meet up with some friends who live here, we wander through the immensity of Central Park, we (almost) take the train from the Grand Central Terminal, we watch a musical on Broadway, in short, we are playing the basic tourists and we love that !

​Je passe de l'autre coté de la frontière, au Canada, pour profiter de Vancouver avant de m'envoler sur la côte Est du Canada. La meilleure façon de visiter Vancouver reste le vélo.

Je revois Sisi, une copine Canadienne de Londres. Elle me fait visiter le quartier de Richmond et me fait découvrir le meilleur yaourt glacé de la ville !

I go on the other side of the border, in Canada, to enjoy Vancouver before flying towards the East Coast of Canada. The best way to visit Vancouver remains on a bicycle.

I meet up with Sisi, a Canadian friend from London. She gives me a tour of the Richmond area and makes me taste the best frozen yogurt of the city!

En 2011, j'ai rencontré Monika en Pologne. Elle était une hôte du réseau Couchsurfing et nous a offert sa maison une nuit durant mon voyage à vélo de France jusqu'en Australie. C"était une journée longue, pluvieuse et enneigée. Elle et sa famille nous ont accueillis chaleuresement avec un délicieuse soupe et plusieurs heures d'échange culturelle.  (souvenirs ici : https://cambraicambrai.wordpress.com/2011/03/23/18032011-zgorzelec-spalona/ ). Je m'en souviendrais toujours. 6 ans plus tard, je la revois, cette fois-ci de l'autre coté de la planète, à Seattle !

Je rencontre également mon petit cousin (mais plus âgé que moi) John et sa femme Jasmine pour la 1ère fois. Ils me font découvrir la partie Est de Seattle et nous partagerons quelques épisodes de Walking Dead...

In 2011, I met Monika in Poland. She was a Couchsurfing host and offered her home one night during my cycling trip from France to Australia. It was a long, cold, rainy and snowy day. Her family and her gave us a warm welcome, a delicious hot soup and few hours of great culture exchange. ​I will always remember. 6 years later, I meet her again, this time on the other side of the world, in Seattle USA !!!

I also meet for the first time my little cousin (but older than me) John and his wife Jasmine. They take me around the West part of Seattle and we will watch together few episodes of The Walking Dead...

Je rejoins 12 de mes amis Chinois de Londres pour deux semaines de road trip entre San Francisco et Las Vegas, pour des randonnées à travers les Parcs Nationaux de Yosémite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon et Grand Canyon. Nous longerons également la fameuse Pacific Highway sur la côte Californienne.

I join 12 of my Chinese friends from London for 2 weeks of road trip between San Francisco and Las Vegas, to hike through the National Parks of Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon and Grand Canyon. We will also ride along the famous Pacific Highway on the Californian coast.

Cela doit bien faire 15 ans que je n'ai pas revu Linda, ma cousine Américaine. La dernière fois, c'était lors de sa visite en France. Je la retrouve avec enchantement, mariée à Dan et maman d'une magnifique petite Mellie. Ils attendent leur 2ème dans quelques semaines. 

J'ai appris également il n'y a pas longtemps que ma "cousine" Annie de Paris, vit depuis peu à San Matéo. Ses parents venaient très souvent le dimanche à la maison pendant notre enfance. On a chacune continué nos chemins et cela doit faire 20 ans qu'on ne s'étaient pas vu. Il a fallu qu'elle déménage de l'autre coté de l'Atlantique pour qu'on reprenne contact. Nous passons plusieurs jours à rattraper le temps perdu. Un moment fort.

It's been 15 years since I have last seen Linda, my american cousin. Last time was during her visit in France. I meet her again with joy, this time, married to Dan and mum of a beautiful little Mellie. They are expecting their second child in a few weeks.

I've also learnt few months ago that my "cousin" Annie from Paris, lives in San Mateo since last year. Her parents used to come every sunday at our place during our childhood. We since carried on our own path and it must have been 20 years since I last saw her. She had to move on the other side of the Pacific ocean for us to contact each other again. We will be spending few days to catch up with our lives. An emotional moment.

Mes parents viennent me rejoindre à Los Angeles pour 3 semaines. Les sœurs de ma mère vivent là-bas. J'en profite donc pour revoir ou rencontrer pour la 1ère fois mes  tantes et oncles, cousins, cousines de la famille. Je retrouve aussi le goût de la cuisine de mon enfance...

Changement de décor ! Après 6.5 mois en Amérique du Sud, me voilà en Amérique du Nord, aux Etats-unis, à Miami et Fort Lauderdale. Ce qui était censée être une escale de 2 heures se transforme en un petit séjour de 5 jours. Si vous vous souvenez, en Décembre 2016, j'avais rencontré à Popayan en Colombie la famille de mon ami Alejo, Colombien/Parisien (ici http://www.siugi.com/south-america/category/colombia-popayanb1193964ed ). Cette fois-ci je rencontre la soeur Johanna et son mari Tomas, qui m'accueillent chaleureusement dans leur cocon et jouent les guides parfaits.

Change of scenery ! After 6.5 months in South America, here I am in North America, in the USA, in Miami and Fort Lauderdale. What was supposed to be a 2 hours stopover became a nice stay of 5 days. If you remember, in December 2016, I met in Popayan in Colombia the family of my Colombian/Parisian friend Alejo (here : www.siugi.com/south-america/category/colombia-popayanb1193964ed). This time I meet his sister Johanna and her husband Tomas, who warmly host me in their nest and play the role of the perfect guides.
