9 months in South America and North America

When I was in my early 30's, I made a promise to myself : "Girl, by 35, I want you to do be in a place that you would have chosen, not imposed on by the routine ! It can be a new home, a new city, a new job, but it needs to make you happy and you need to enjoy your life !". It is only lately that I have remembered that promise... I'm now 35 and I have realised that I'm the only one responsible for my own happiness. So I have quit my comfortable job in London and decided to go on another adventure...

Chinatown

i've been told that in Lima there are so so so many Chinese people, specially in Chinatown, but I haven't seen any except one Chinese lady ! Peru has been influenced a lot by the Chinese culture (yes they are everywhere). So much that one of the most common kind of restaurant is called Chifa. It's a mix of Chinese and Peruvian cuisine. According to Wikipedia there are about 6,000 Chifa restaurants in Lima. It's our kind of kebab I suppose, fast food and cheap.

We tried a real Chinese restaurant (not a Chifa). Still no Chinese around (maybe in the kitchen?)

Pretty good meal! Crispy noodle and seafood
Plutot réussi ! Nouilles croustillantes aux fruits de mer

Not sure if they taste as good as in London
