9 months in South America and North America

When I was in my early 30's, I made a promise to myself : "Girl, by 35, I want you to do be in a place that you would have chosen, not imposed on by the routine ! It can be a new home, a new city, a new job, but it needs to make you happy and you need to enjoy your life !". It is only lately that I have remembered that promise... I'm now 35 and I have realised that I'm the only one responsible for my own happiness. So I have quit my comfortable job in London and decided to go on another adventure...

Latacunga is the nearest town to reach the Quilotoa volcano. This volcano is located at 3914 meters high. One the most famous treks in Ecuador is called the Quilotoa loop and lasts 3 days. There are inns along the loop so no camping needed ! We decide to do only 2 days, the 3rd day being a boring walk on the car road and hitchhike on the milk truck instead.
